I Live In A Rural Area

Although it isn't yet summer, this afternoon was the first one of this year to feel as though it were and I was very happy to be outside. The temperature was near 75F/24C and I enjoyed doing some work in my yard. The majority of it is created by pine trees which were here long before my husband and I bought the property. I would not recommend planting them if you have the option. Lol. They're not all bad. Their needles and pine cones seem to accumulate on the yard throughout all seasons though and I'm sure that I could find easier things to do if I wanted to be out there.
It is a little surprising and depressing that the forecast has some snow and freezing nights during the next week, but that should be the end of it until next winter. My favorite weather will be here soon after that! I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy being outside doing whatever they choose.

I think the thing I love about rural living is all the stars those of us in major cities can’t see. When I am away from the city I love to lay and just stare up at a clear night sky and marvel at the stars.

@swl2jo You're not alone on that! Friends who have attended our outdoor parties often complain when their necks hurt from looking up too much, but they're in chairs. Lol.

We have a vacation home in FL. I’ll take a towel out on the beach and lay there while the fam is back at the house watching TV. I have the better show.
