I Live In A Rural Area

At My House... I love the quietness that is outside of towns and cities. The birds, other wildlife, crickets, peepers, and wind are usually plenty of noise for me. I love the smell of mowed grass, cut fields, flowers, and everything after a rain. I love seeing deer, raccoons, and other animals almost everyday. I love being able to see a large part of the sky, especially during thunderstorms and on cloudless star filled nights. I love when friends gather in my yard for bonfires and enjoy some of these things with me.

I agree. There is nothing like sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, listening to the birds, watching the squirrels, but especially seeing nothing but trees, ponds, and fields. Oh and there is nothing that compares with the smell of freshly turned dirt.

Now I understand the reply. LOL I often wonder why someone doesn't make cologne or perfume with the smell of fresh cut grass or hay.

I don't think I'd like that. The fresh outdoor smell needs to be earned by spending time out there.

Me too. My house in the country is my sanctuary.

The sounds that come from nature at night calm me.

Yep, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I hope you continue to enjoy your spot too.

I used to . . . . . Now I miss lots of those kind of things
