I Am In a Complicated Relationship

Not anymore, but here is a story about my one and only relationship that lasted more than two dates.

A female colleague in the team of an online game invited me to Skype and added me to a group chat with another woman. Both were married but in an open relationship and we had a group call almost every day. We had a great chemistry together with similar hobbies, interests, ideals and way of thinking.

They already were in an online relationship together and synchronized spending time with their husbands. When I came into the picture, they shared some of their time together with me, but also retreated to a chat between the two of them regularly. That was rather difficult as I had nobody else to turn to during those sessions.

At some point they broke off all contact and I only have a vague clue why. I got depressed and they had their own issues at the same time and just couldn't deal with mine on top of that. This was four years ago and I tried to restore the contact when things got better, but to no avail. I still miss them every day though, despite having very mixed feelings about the whole construction.
