I Will Not Be Involved With Toxic People

So yesterday after living with my family for almost 3 years. My fiance and I finally decided to leave it was time because things were just getting worse nothing was changing. I didn't ever think these people would be so toxic but unfortunately they were.
So after work nobody was home we went there packed up what we could and walked out the door. Finally we feel like we're able to breathe able to live our life the way we want.
Maybe we should have left them a note but we shouldn't have to expand ourselves as to why we left should we? I cannot believe how bad things got there.
My cousin's wife was never going to allow us to leave ever! She told us we can't ever make it on our own because we didn't have the means and now we do. It's nice to just finally be free.. from here on out it's my fiance and I only know no more people like this ever again!!
