I Love Greeting Cards

I read about a study where a professor sent a bunch of fancy Christmas cards to neighbors in his area within about 6 blocks of his home. Most of those who received his card sent one back! These neighbors assumed they must know him somehow but could not remember exactly who he was. Maybe I could try that as an intro to getting to know my neighbors. Out of the 50 or so cards the prof sent, one came back that included a New Year's Eve party invitation. What a jackpot! If that happened, I would definitely attend.
