Not true! Some want a form of single payer, universal health care. That might take the form of Medicare for all, not abolishing it. The republicans in power call it an "entitlement" which is a derogatory term, and they have vowed to abolish both Medicare and Medicaid for years. One subtle form.is to replace those programs with vouchers. They try to make that sound great, to support the health insurance industry. Unfortinately, they fail to point out that the administrative cost of private insurance is 29 percent and that of CARE and CAID are 5 percent. Do the math and you see how much less funds would be available for actual medical care

@hunkalove someone has to pay for that, we are already ……..how many...…...Trillion …….in debt??? Makes no sense to me!!
single payer is medicare, we want it for everyone!

@Whiterosesociety basic Medicare may be government run medical insurance, but then you buy supplemental which has many insurers, and medication coverage is also multiple insureres.
