I Wish All Friends Were Forever Friends

I've spent years looking for this guy, to see what he's up to nowadays. I simply miss him. I finally got the courage to ask my old school for his last name and now i have it, but he simply does not exist in any search. Now, I might have to wait till he is in some databases to find and it makes me sad. I've been having dreams lately about it and it's driving me insane.

Know exactly how you feel.
I had a good friend at school.
We met on day one and were friends for years afterwards.
I even went to her wedding !!!
Then life got in the way and we lost touch.
Can't tell you the number of times I searched FriendsRe-united or Facebook. just to see if she was alive and well !
I get that she may well have re-married and changed her name since we last saw each other.
And given that all this was pre-Internet she may not even use the same social media !
But it is kinda sad.

the private investigator would be very expensive and I have been looking at them, but from what I understand of the databases is that they are big scams
