I Am Sick Of Parents Who Don't Parent
What I notice today is too many parents treat their children like friends or peers. I even see situations where the child has control over the parents and the parent bows to every demand the child makes.
I am thankful I wasn't raised this way because I grew up to be a respectful person. I was raised by a single mother and she never treated me as a peer or an equal. The roles were clearly defined. She was the parent and I was the child. Everytime she talked to me she had a bossy tone. She was the queen of the household and I was her servant who had to obey her every word..which I usually did without thinking twice about it.
