I Am Fascinated By the Italian Mafia

Yes, I like Mafia but I don’t want to be a Mafia in real. It’s just that the glamour life of mafia depicted in movies and history books sound so appealing to me.

Some mafia do bad in order to seek justice and help the needy but some do evil just to make more and more money. Such mafias are the puppets of capitalist people.

The father of American organized crime is Charles "Lucky" Luciano.

The origins of Sicilian mafia in USA is the most intriguing story. So intriguing that even Hollywood made movies based on the life of a mafia family.

I myself got to know about mafia when I first saw the movie ‘The Godfather’. I was 12 then. I got so much influenced by the movie that I began to walk, talk and behave like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Yes, I’m a big of these two. One is legend and the other is a living legend. Even at this age, an 18 year old teen girl would fall for Al Pacino (The most amazing quality of Mr. Pacino is his voice. It’s husky, deep and luring. A woman would definitely find him endearing.).

Mafias are like that in real. Be it the Italian mafia, Russian mafia or Yakuzas (Japanese mafia); there’s one thing common about all these mafias. Their attire is always neat, they look quite gentle but their deeds are questionable.

The life of mafia from 1920’s - 1950’s in New York, USA is what fascinates me the most:

From 1900's - 1940's America was experiencing multiple socio-economic issues like the great economic depression, brutality of KKK, corruption in law and order authorities, World War II and etc. Thus, young women preferred dating Mafia men rather working class fellows because they were better in terms of protection and social status!...Such women were also the supreme targets of FBI when Mafia had to be controlled for the sake of nation's rebuilding!...:)

I wont say how I got to know of the Mafia. It is exactly that. The paradox of how such wonderful lassionate and loving people can decide to take justice, or tjeir wn brand of justice into their own hands that jas always fascinated me perplexed me and broken my heart. How do peolle rational and jistify wrong doing? To me it jas always been black and white. Right is if it helps people wrong if it hurts. All people. Not just your group. Sometimes it is better to be stolen from or hurt then live with the guilt of committing a true wrong against another human. Take a life hirt so many more than just the life taken. Think before you act. What is mkre important people or money and pkssessions and territory. One murder leads to another then it never ends. What is justice and who gets to decide? How many peoe have to suffer in the end when himans make up justice?

I like how they are 'disappearing' the troublesome immigrants who wash into Italy.

@M3JollyMiles: Against the wishes of most Italians shipwrecked immigrants are resettled. In Sicily and other places, the Mafia have been sending them to sleep with the fish because they have made such a negative impact on the Italians. Good job by them I say. The NY families have also said they will defend NY from ISIS if they ever try anything.
