I Work the Night Shift

Tomorrow I won't work night shift anymore. I am all ready for bed, sleepy tea drank, melatonin taken, in my jammies all tucked in to bed. My alarm is set and I've checked and double checked it. I'm a little nervous about working day shift again. The night shift was so nice. I don't think it's very healthy and all my day shift buddies are ready for me to come back. Hopefully they will need me again on nights. This will be good to get back to normal.

I hope you adapt to dayshift well. Some people seem to thrive on night shift, but I suspect it is very hard on the body (and soul).

Like the solitude of night shifts?

There's a flow and rhythm to it and there is plenty to be done. I like the pace and the vibe. The people are great. I feel like I can actually get to know the patients and their families and actually interact with my co workers. It's not so much noise and stimulation.
