I Had a Job Interview That Went Badly

So I prepared for this job that I really wanted. I wanted it so much I drove myself crazy preparing all week in lock down. I spent every hour of every day in the run up to it watching YouTube videos, answering questions on the Web and writing my strengths, weaknesses and experience down- I even recorded myself. When it came to the actual interview via webcam I totally flunked it. I stuttered all the way through, I had an outburst, I rolled my eyes, I almost cried. My friends said to me that it was only one interview, that I should not worry about it, but I can't help but feel totally demoralized. I know I should just dust myself off and try again, but my head hurts and I want to cry every time I think about it.

Was there a definitive rejection at the end? What did the interviewer say? If you have an email or address I would write a letter or even just copy your post here and sent to the interviewer.
Nothing to loose and it can't hurt letting them know how impressed you are with their company and how much your disappointed in your performance.

@Mktonght there was no definitive rejection, it was a community based role so everyone was quite encouraging, but I was very aware of my mistakes being a perfectionist.

That is good then. Just go a follow up thank you and actually ask for the job. @Lucywrites
