I Want to Join the Military

I'm trying to join the navy...might need a waiver because i had to go to the doctor and get tested for asthma and they gave me an inhaler during the test. Theyre starting to worry me a little bit because they keep saying they dont know if i'll get through meps with exercise induced asthma on my record. I have a cousin in the navy whos told me that they let people with sickle cell get through meps. I take my asvab next Thursday June 9th and im a little nervous. I guess i'll see where it goes from there.

when i was doing recruiting, asthma was an instant disqualifier. However, everything ,(except being a convicted felon), is waiverable.

I feel everyone should do at least 2 yrs in the military. But think about this, if you were to get deployed, and have "boots on the ground", what would happen to you and your team mates if you got an asthma attack during a fire fight?
