I Enjoy British Television

The BBC (that is the British Broadcasting Corporation, not the other BBC you see flaunted on SW) pushes out some awesome television...and without adverts too. Sad sack that I am, I have come to love BBC4 on a Friday evening because it's always music night. Tonight, it's all about cover versions of songs. Get in!

Wish I could watch BBC but they block other countries. I managed to watch many documentaries on YouTube though.

@Curiosity: Really? You as a Brit should be able to watch it. ☹

I know SWTHN. I can't watch German telly on the Internet when I'm abroad.

Doctor Who rocks! Thank you BBC!

It is still very popular even now and there is always much conjecture whenever there is to be a new Doctor; it's a bit like the new James Bond!

@OKWTFN: mostly, the actors leave the show because they do not want to be typecast or they 'want to pursue other projects'. Luvvies!

I on the other hand think the BBC although it produces some reasonable TV, has been a terrible organisation. It charges to watch other peoples programs and hid terrible abuses of peadophilia for decades. It's once unbiased political coverage has been the opposite in recent years and has pursued alleged sex offenders a little too vigorously (for reasons we can only guess at but if we were talking face to face I'd give an opinion on it).

I cannot deny that but there are still some good politics shows and it supports the Arts well.

That is a shame. Advert-free TV is priceless!

BBC news and journalism are very political; certainly not independent and often seem like a wet Monday.
