I Am a Social Worker

I work with children and families, and of the toughest parts of the job for me would be dealing with cases of neglect and abuse, especially with children involved. There have been several situations I've had explained to me, where I just wanted to go out to my car and cry because they were so sad to hear.

@latinbutterfly A social worker visited us weekly for the almost a year previous to the very atipycal adoption of one of my daughters.
She was a kind, wise and then (20 years ago) young lady that helped us about the shocking tragedy that brought the girl to be with us.
I´ll always be grateful to her for this and for the advice she gave to the judge that gave the adoption in unusual circunstances.

Well it's not a easy job so good for you what get me going is kids are removed from their home for abuse but are placed in foster homes which turn out to be worse than their real home because the foster families just do it for the money.

Are we talking about the US child separation thing? because I cannot imagine any tale worse than this, and nobody is doing anything about it, that is the worst part.
I salute you for your valiant effort mamabear. If they are alive, there is hope for their future.
