A Sun in the Midst of Night
Your light shines so bright... But why can't I feel it's warmth? In the morning I rise with you, but the nights are colder than the days are warm. I turn to see the shadow of my friends & I gasp, as if to fill my lungs with air... But I find myself choking on words. So quickly I reach my hands out & run them through the air before me, but it's empty. In the silence I cry out.

I have heard you! 2000 years ago I heard you... & Before, I've loved you. I am never far from you, I am the breath in you, your spark of life, the lingering of hope & faith.
