Politics and religion should stay well apart from each other, get any Medieval history book (or even just, pre-Enlightenment) if you want to know what happens otherwise.

@Elessar Doesn't scare me I'm ready to die for God. I understand Christians are well hated.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Mguinm It's not supposed to scare; just to point out that radical Christians are no different than radical Muslims if allowed in places of power, history has over 1000 years of pages showing that.

You can choose to die however you want, just so long as you don't decide how *I* die.

@Elessar Radical Buddhists too, if Myanmar is anything to go by. And radical Hindus are doing their bit in India too, while radical atheists are going crazy in China. Indeed, anything extreme is dangerous.

@helensusanswift Yeah, religion and areligion equally should be completely distinct from politics. There is a reason why our countries are, at least in theory, "secular" and not "atheist".
helensusanswift · 31-35, F
@Elessar You are right. Countries whose philosophy centres around any sort of religious belief, or non-belief, seem to breed governments who persecute people who think differently.
