I Wish I Had More Money

Living on a fixed income sucks, OK? Did 40 years...mostly Gov't work, get a pension/social Security, and after the BOHICA, I'm lucky if I have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of. And to add insult to injury, the most insidious but highly effective US agency, the IRS will be out there salivating to see how much they can get from me tomorrow...the bastards! I pray to God Almighty I'm not thinned out tomorrow (payday) at the Tax office...please leave me enough to get wasted after you've tortured me, that's all nothing more!

I’m in a similar boat, retired and saw the accountant earlier this week. I was totally expecting to have to pay, but got a refund—that went right into the bank. I think after working all one’s life and paying taxes, upon retirement (especially with a fixed income), one should become tax exempt. A pipe dream, alas. 😏
Indeed! But you know "uncle"-he must be sated every April 15th! I'd have stayed on the job (Federal Firefighter) but the FED Gov't for all their ballyhoo about discrimination including age, when it comes to their own they DO discriminate. I got forced out at 60. But I use my cookin and photography to aid me. The Gov't isn't getting that $$$.@bijouxbroussard
