I "Got The Belt" When I Was A Kid

bth me and my brother grew up in the late 50's. The era of corporal punishment. If we were naughty at home we got either the cane for the serious things and a short strap for minor offences. He it cane or strap we had to undress and reach over a chair or table and our bare bottoms hit hard. The cane use to hurt for very much longer than the strap but the strap stung more at the time it smacked your bottom but did not last long.

for any spanking to be effective it has to be done on the bare bottom. That way it gives a very sharp sting which if given over underpants is lost. It does not sting the bottom for very long but for the time it is stinging it is a bad sting

we got the strap, not the belt. It was an old very thick and wide miners belt that had been cut down to about 36 inches. Dad use to wrap it around his hand before lashibg it across the middle of our exposed bottoms

@jackcros very true but for a short while if felt as if your bottom was on fire...it did with the cane but that lasted longer but the strap made more of your bottom feel as if it was on fire not just a narrow strip where the cane landed....the strap got mot of your bottom and whacks went on top of each other which added to the sting

it does not look so sinister as thw cane but when it is smacked on the bare bottom it sure does hurt.Being so flexible and not marking it tended to be whacked across the bottom hrder than the cane.

@barney1 unless one actually got the strap or cane as a boy on the bare bottom it is hard to imagine the sting you felt, and having felt the sting from the first whack having to keep bending ovder to take the rest, each whack hurting more than the previous
