I Am Highy Interested In the Mysteries of the World
Wouldn't it be cool if you could find patterns in 3D?! I wish Excel would invent a way to make a 3D spreadsheet so I could analyze all the temperature data for the whole planet to identify trends. I really want to make a real-time 3D rendering of the planet.
It would be like one of those scale model globes, where you can feel the mountain ranges because the surface of the globe is directly proportional to the surface elevation of Earth. Only instead of the elevation on this model being represented, temperatures would be... Higher temperatures would be indicated by what we would normally see as higher elevation, and vice versa with low temperature/elevation.
We already do this in a 2D version using color to indicate temperature, and could probably identify trends that way... But my way would be neat to see.
