I Am So Fed Up and Frustrated

So early morning appointment with my advisor today. A class I chose for requirement credits next semester is cancelled because the prof is having health issues and retiring early. Totally legit. So Inhave to chose a new class to meet requirements and he keeps pushing and pushing me towards women's history and politics classes. I have about 8 to choose from that fit under contemporary social issues and studies, most would be WAY better for my major. But he just won't stop when I point it out.

I just reallly feel pressured in to doing classes I dont want to or need to get my butt in the seat. Like isn't there a minimum amount of students needed for a class to be taught and get whatever funding to the school? Or am I being paranoid?

You do sound pretty disgruntled with your higher education experience so far. In the UK "major" starts immediately, so that's one big difference. Hope things smooth over for you moving forward.
