I'm cringing.

Speaking to an old acquaintance, I mentioned "my friends" in the conversation and she thought I was referring to our old group she and I were both "part" of that I separated myself from because reasons. And so when I told her that I didn't text my friends too much these days lest I'm disturbing them at work by mistake, she told me "oh but we're all still active in the group no one is that busy, it's okay" and I didn't know how to correct her without coming off as obnoxious so I just brushed over it altogether. 🙄
