I Love Going Out To Dinner
Food is more than nutrition for me, it's a passion. I love cooking, baking, creating new dishes or tweaking old ones, giving them a new twist.
This afternoon, I tried cooking something I first had in a restaurant I like eating at. Stuffed portobello mushrooms, deep fried. I've tried it a few times and the stuffing always falls out and burns in the oil. Today, I tried something different. I stuffed the two mushrooms, and then put the two open sides together like a sandwich with the stuffing inside. To keep them together, I tied them with a length of kitchen twine. Leaving a length long enough to hold while I lowered the package into the oil. Perfect. Tasty. No leaking stuffing.
