Can you still run for president in the USA if you were born in Colombia? If not can the laws in the USA be changed?

no you must be a born us citizen to become president. though there is a debate if our current president was born here or in kenya. and no the laws dont need to be changed.

if you are an us citizen yes. as far as i know the only political offices you cant hold if not born in the us is president or vice president. now if you hold a position thats in the line to the presidency you are not eligiable. like at one time we had speaker of the house who was not born here and therefore ineligiable.

@sassygirl15: I heard their are mayors in Florida born in Cuba maybe I could even born in Colombia just got work on becoming citizen in the USA & learn everything in the USA

Because that position doesn't require you being born in the U.S..
