I Am Colombian
Why do many Americans think everyone in Colombia is poor? We do have people in different social class? Yes most don't have the money like shakira. But we are happy people!

Probably because 32% of the country lives under the poverty line, and among those, 10% or so live in extreme poverty. I believe this to be similar to what we have in Washington DC.
