I Need to Lose Weight

I have been walking since the spring and still am not close to my goal weight loss. I watch my calorie intake stay hydrated to stay healthy. I joined curves but with my schedule I never had time to go on a regular basis.

What does everyone do for exercise if you can only do it at home?

I am really interested losing this pooch in the lower tummy area and I honestly cannot do situps. It makes me feel like I am going to pass out.

Try laying on your back, lift your feet together about 6 to 9 inches from the floor, hold the position (without killing yourself). & keep at it for a while each day. you should soon see a flatening of your tum

I love walking too. Try to incorporate a light jog if you can. There's lot's of exercises you can do at home. Get some little hand held weights maybe. Also You tube has some great example videos. Plus there are web sites you can join and follow along.

Actually the biggest contributor to weight loss is less food intake. You have to really limit those calories. I keep mine as minimal as possible. When I don't splurge that is.😋 :-)

@Magenta Maybe jog the last part of my walk so I will be home when I pass out. Lol

Yes I have noticed the last few years it has gotten harder. You can speak for both of us. 😆

Here we are talking about discipline and I am getting ready to make brownies for the kids! Hmmmmmm 😣

Make sure you're getting enough sleep. I agree with upping the intensity of your workouts. Try incorporating short bursts of sprinting, jumping jacks, etc. Intermittent fasting can also be a tool.

@trista2 Thank you for replying. How often do you recommend fasting and for how long each time? I have always read that if you fast too often yoor body actually stores fat. I know the timing is the most important.

What I usually try to do is eat between noon and 8 pm only. It's not always possible, but on most days I can manage it. I drink coffee in the mornings and that fills me up enough. For me, a big breakfast will typically make me even hungrier by lunchtime. It's not for everyone, but may work for you.

@trista2 thank you so much. I am really ready to try some new ideas. I tend to gain over the holiday and winter months. Really just want to avoid that this year. Thanks again for taking the time to respond and for the great advice. 😀

I'm sure youre beautiful as you are
add water to your diet....stop trying to do sit ups. they are horrible for you...give up crackers, pasta, and bread. this will make a huge difference. and why are you making brownies? you shouldn't be near that.

That's awesome. Doesn't it feel good to start moving again? And seeing the results snowballs the inspiration and motivation!!

T25. It's only 25 minutes and it's a great combination of cardio and strength training.

Walking is great. Keep it up. I run and ride my bike. I do one or the other almost everyday.
