I Am a Sadist

@RemovedUsername8862 It is the most common. However not all sadists are capable sexual release. Enjoying someone else’s pain isn’t always sexual in nature. Think of a sadistic asexual, for example. Some people just like hurting people because it’s fun.

@Rage21 Huh. It's strange - I don't particularly enjoy hurting people except for when I'm aroused. My sadistic feelings and urges are almost entirely encapsulated withing my sexual urges and instincts. It's kind of baffling to think of those same sadistic feelings divorced from the sexual components.

@RemovedUsername8862 See, your sadistic feelings are tied to the sexual component because unconsciously you are exhibiting your dominance. There's no greater arousal for males than to know they're in control during intercourse. Especially when they have the power at their finger tips to either make their partner cum, or suffer for not doing so. Whereas others, in a more wicked sense, tend to simply enjoy inflicting emotional, physical or psychological pain just for the sole purpose of entertaining themselves, either out of boredom or amusement. I would argue they're both about dominance. But I would say that sexual sadist are trying to prove their dominance whereas regular sadist, more times than not, have nothing to prove but the sole fact that they're able to do what they do, without any repercussions. That in itself is fun enough for them.
