I Don't Like Police

Alcohol And Police Followed By Driving- Speeding And Police... My personal experience with police is

I was in a pub one night and got pretty drunk, was not doing anything dis- orderly [like fighting/ kicking/ punching ect] just standing round in a cirlce yacking/ talking to someone /some people- the police came over and pulled me out of the circle . they would not let me fininish my 1 shot of bundaberg rum, and wanted me out of the hotel ASAP- [for what real reason I would love to know, it went round college that supposedly I was not that drunk], I asked if they would dial a cab to get me back to college for the night and they wouldn't- yet it was only a couple of weeks ago when we had the police in for a full on meeting about drinking and what happens when someone gets too drunk

they said Do not walk home from college- one you know where to go it only takes 1 hr 30 mins odd- they also said they are happy to give lifts home from the pub- neither of these were offered.

So what did I do- what any tight person does and walked of course.

eventually got home- but spent a while on the walk swearing, yelling and blabbering on about how the police stuffed up my night- someone even hidd in the bushes because of it.

I got home fine as usual - we are talking about the college who used to be the 4th biggest acohol drinking place in the world in the 1990s - to about 2005. this story isn't from that time, nor was I here, however I suspect that some of the traditions, activities from that time have been continued on to this very day.

On the contray
back in 2011 - we went out one night and had a few drinks and I got sick of it so I upt and left- I wasn't even off the front of the block, letta lone on the side walk and the bar laddy called and asked "if I wanted a cab"
I said "yes please"
the cab came I got in and got a lift home- and again got to college fine

so know wonder I don't like police.

POLICE AND DRIVING- in capitals so everyone can tell the difference
here in Australia the law says that in most areas in my state of NSW, the speed limit on the open road is 100 kms / hr - about 60 miles per hour for those in imperial.

Having been driving since I was 4 or 5 in the drought NSW had in the 1990's- I more than know my way around vehicles- I was confidently driving our farm ute around the farm by the time I was 10 or 11. yet in NSW one can only get there Learners licence or L plates at 14 or 15, red p's at 15 or 16, green P's at 18 I think- then full licence after that

I was comming home from sydney on the train and the train as usual was taking forever - they stop at tinny stations where no one or 1 person gets off and then wait for the crow to fly by, finally after 3 or 4 minutes they shut the doors and keep going.

This may seem irrelevant however I only had an hour to get from point A where the train terminates to point B where rugby training was on, in that hour I had to let mum drive or I would speed, and sit on 130- 140kms/ hr- not that bad really for me as I have quick respones- I also had to pull up at home get my rugby gear, get the gas bottle out of the car, put my plates on and keep going to footy which was another 30 -40 minutes up the road. I ignored the plates which the copper would have been happy about [revenue raising for him- i.e. basically doing his job]. I got on the tar and was speeding and got on the federal highway and passed 2 or 3 cars and didn't have any problems- got to our nearest town and slowed up. however on the other side of town there is a massive hill which is part of an AUstralian Mountain range- I was speeding as soon as I was passed the speed camera, i don't know what speed I was doing but it would have been 130-140 kms / hr [speed limit for my licence I think was 90 kms per hour- rediculous, the road was quiet as well]- nothing really try 160 which is still chicken feed, try 130 as the legal speed limit which is not efforced, max i did up there was 240kms an hour for 10 hrs.

anyway back to the story the cop eventually caught up with me- I had no idea where he came from, then finally I looked in my rear vision mirror- oh crap police- I pulled over and siad I was running late for footy training was really annoyed at my self. he did his alcohol test [none- I don't drive with alcohol in my system except on sundays when hungover and heading home from the night before- saturday nights in AUST are the night to get drunk] he looked at my licence bal bal bal- took my number plate and yes noticed no Red plates which I was legally supposed to have.

returned to his car and spoke to the office [i guess and gave me a $220 fine for no plates - the angle was above 6 degrees which means in NSW for some reason probs due to design they can't tell how fast you are going thank god.

I paid the fine ASAP- all was well afterwards

However when coming out of our local town there is a local dirt road, a driveway, another local road and the old highway- once passed the old highway bit I now speed not before- this should and has until now stopped me from getting caught.

In the middle of this year I will legally be able to get a licence which does not require green, red or learner plates- I can't wait and have no idea what has taken so long.

I feel like I am a lot better driver than many people on the Australian roads and that has nothing in my opinion to do with what that policeman did to me in 2010- I write this at the beginning of 2012 and have not been pulled over by a policeman since.

if the AUstralian and american governments and many others could get it through there heads that it is impossible for the average passenger to increase the speed of a train while sitting in the carriage or the other typical one here in rural NSW is to run off the road and hit a tree - it is also hard to do that here as well- we would have a lot less accidents, a lot better enviroment- but they won't do it

Here in Australia all our government is interested in is coal and to some extent other minerals. as for the rest of the population well who cares about them or what they do.

what wrong with it my personal experiences or what is actually going on

I will say again I hate the police- it was only the last monday afternoon, I was on the train to go home after a weekend in the big city and I was at a station with no ticket barriers, no polatics and no technology and really needs to be up graded to keep up with the pace of the modern infrastructure and technology.

Anyway the cops were at the neicer end of the platform- with no smoking, bit more polatics and bit more crap- the lazy police could not even be bothered while waiting for the train to arrive to wander the 10-15 meters or 32 foot and 9' 70 to 49 and 2.55 in the imperial scale to have a look around the rougher part of the platform- thats not a very big walk at all for police who are supposed to be fit, young and active [supposedly]

If they had of wandered down there they would have found a smoker smoking on the platform which is illegal here in Australia on most train station platforms to smoke- the police would have made it about a $500 fine for the 1 person I saw and who knows who else was down there smoking. As usual all they are interested in is checking tickets- being in a region with a lot of small stations and very few ticket machines police and saftey people walk through trains and check tickets instead. Yet the NSW police are supposedly told at the training centre that they need to raise as much money as possible- well why didn't they fine the guy for smoking on the platform then- too useless thats my veiw.

for those who can't tell I dislike smokers- its not good for there health nor anyone else who breathes in the smoke and the litter is horribly annoying yet governments can't seem to get the price up high enough to reduce the number of smokers.
