I Want To Help And Heal Female Survivors Of Abuse

Indian café run by acid attack survivors attracts visitors from all over the world.

A half mile from the Taj Mahal a café called Sheroes Hangout is being visited and appreciated by tourists who acknowledge the women's courage. Five women who survived acid attacks serve cutting edge coffee and delicious snacks. It opened in 2014 as a project crowdfunded by Stop Acid Attacks in Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Some of the women have endured several reconstructive surgeries.
Acid attacks are a gruesome reality in India and largely unreported.
You can read more on Global Citizen about how the women earn a livelihood and begin to restore self confidence.

Love to everyone.

Thank you for bringing this to people attention. Those women are very brave. Why are men so cruel to women? Sadly they feel entitled due to their culture,it is the same in the middle east, not just India sadly and London lately has had its fair share of acid attacks. What can be done about it? I often feel it is not taken seriously enough by the authorities and often it is part of their culture like with muslims who oppress women.
I hope all is well with you, continue with your good work.

These men that do these horrible crimes should be shot on the spot!😠 These women are true survivors and it's so courageous what they've done❣🤗☕

@Peaches Your comment appeared sexist at first but it seems the reality is that it is men who do this.
