I Want To Help And Heal Female Survivors Of Abuse

From time to time there are posts which say that Similar Worlds is nothing like as good as Experience Project was.
Well whilst that may well be true or true for the individual posting we are fortunate that we have Similar Worlds but more to the point its administrators were all too well aware of the shortcomings of Experience Project.
Similar Worlds is a safe place to use at the moment because the moderators respond to users and regularly take action against posters who abuse the site and abuse other individuals who use it.
Experience Project was great for all sorts of reasons yet people including young users were horribly abused and it seemed at times with impunity.

Similar Worlds is safe. Let's keep it that way for all.

True, that's why I left a year before it closed. 😒 I was a volunteer there and they'd ask us to let them know about such abuse but they'd do nothing. In the end there I was so stressed out that I just had to leave.😐It was just a shell of what it use to be.🥀 So far here, so good. 🍀

@Peaches That must have been so frustrating.

@Hasmita It was.🥀

Yes it appears safe enough and one man who was very abusive towards me and other women was removed after having been given a warning which it seems he did not take heed of and to see him go was a relief.

@berangere The moderators work hard here.

Doesn't mean to say it's perfect but we are fortunate to have it and I see people feeling safe on it.

Not quite like changing tv channels.
Say you like a particular site and perhaps you have friends there then along comes a succession of trolls or abuse. Why should you leave?
If you're threatened with rape and suddenly a whole load decide that's what you need done to you it's very difficult to switch off.
This group is about healing female survivors and this post's message is to thank Similar Worlds for being safe for survivors.

@Greenbare It’s never ok to be mean! And it’s never the victims fault if it is name calling, or racist, or sexist comments! Let’s not minimize it!
