A thought about communication

I've had this thought for a few days and would love to hear some feedback on it. After thinking about how we communicate I've come to the conclusion that women love to talk with women but men love to talk to men. By that I mean women will carry on a meaningful conversation with each other while men will talk just to get a point across. Does it sound about right?

It doesn’t sound right to me at all...I’ve had wonderful conversations with both men and women, and I’ve had both men and women talk at me rather than with me. I think it’s a very individual thing.
