A thought about communication

I've had this thought for a few days and would love to hear some feedback on it. After thinking about how we communicate I've come to the conclusion that women love to talk with women but men love to talk to men. By that I mean women will carry on a meaningful conversation with each other while men will talk just to get a point across. Does it sound about right?

Hmmm. I've had some very meaningful conversations with men. I think it really depends upon the individual. Maybe it's a generational thing?

@SW-User Could be. It's just something I've noticed after being in places like Starbucks and Panera. Just hearing snippets of conversations.

@ReneeT Interesting. I have a tendency to tune out other people's chatter in public places. Maybe I'll start paying closer attention.

@SW-User I don't try to be nosy but when you are standing in line you sometimes can't help but hear some things.

@ReneeT LOL. I know most people are in the same boat as you. It's not being nosy or eavesdropping when you're just standing there. I trained myself to tune out conversations around me due to my parents being very strict about not listening to other's convos. My father ran his law practice out of our house and the things discussed were considered privileged information.

@SW-User Most of the time I do not hear the actual conversations but just the tone of them. But it is definitely a good thing to try and tune out the actual words.
