I'm a Dork

I headed out to the polls today with the purpose of voting against Trump. I have been a registered Republican since college but I apparently changed my affiliation to Independent last time I registered. I showed up at my site to vote and my name wasn't on the list. So the nice old man called to see where I needed to go. They actually said I was in the right place but I heard the address differently so I headed down the street. I realized after about a mile that I was at the right place to begin with. The volunteer looked at the roll and sure enough I was on the independent sheet. I felt silly that I didn't know that I had registered that way and irritated that I didn't have the chance to vote against Trump. I will make sure that I get an absentee ballot on time before the election. I have one more chance. Liver or lima beans? I am usually a meat girl but this time I'm picking the veggie.
