That never ever is the same as being stupid...as you well know!!! Need to pay them no never mind

adelinemeadow · 18-21, F
I have a birth defect and read slowly. My school has done well by me. I don't want to pretend it doesn't.
@adelinemeadow I have a friend with mild cerebral palsy and she has to talk slow to prevent stuttering but I think it's cute sounding.
You keep shining your light. Don’t let your not speaking well hold you back. You have a bright light, don’t let people who make fun of you dim it.

@ozgirl512... and while you think...

@Yulianna Yes...come to my study after class.

You seem to write well

Intelligence doesn’t always show in speech when there are defects in it because people think in a shallow way and assess lower intelligence when hearing imperfect speech without looking further
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
Hopefully you can overcome that... But remember, only shallow people will judge you on that...a good person is far more than how they speak ...
Don’t let that inhibit you.....those who insult you are not worth knowing.

Speech impediments have no connection to intelligence...get speech therapy!
Skitzo · 56-60, M
I have a cousin that has a speech impediment but it doesnt distract anyone from seeing how smart or pretty she is. I think she may have struggled a bit when she was younger but not as she got older. I think if you pay no attention to it others will do the same. It may take certain ones longer to stop but that only means they don't learn as fast as others.
nowic2 · 61-69, M
That sounds both challenging & tiring dealing with all the limited people judging you. But keep working on it. I know a newspaper journalist with a bad stutter but despite that he still does quality interviews & is well respected by his peers & interviewer's. With patience & persistence, you may overcome it & wouldn't that be awesome. All the best! 😊

You control how you feel about what others say to you. Nobody can hurt you with words without your consent.our reactions are often learned behaviours.

Nonetheless, it’s hurtful!@Entwistle
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Wiseacre It doesn't have to be. You decide how you feel about something.
Wiseacre · F
I wish things were that simple.@Entwistle
I was put in the "difficult" class because i yelled at some loud students and had to stay after the year before. it ruined my life. Don't let them ruin yours
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
One of my boys had a speech impediment. After many years of speech therapy and hard work, he corrected it. Are you getting speech therapy?
Adamski24 · 41-45, M
Just tell the fuckwits that bully you to pipe the fuck down.
When someone points a finger at you there is always three pointing back at them ❤❤

One of my boys had a speech impediment. Speech therapy worked wonders for him. You wouldn’t know he ever had an issue
What kind of classes? Like speech therapy? Cause if they just put you in special needs over your ability to talk that is really wrong.
That sucks...i went to a stupid school too. i wouldn't screw the jocks so my grades went down when i was doing well
nedkelly · 61-69, M
You are definitely not stupid at all, do not allow these people to upset you
Outdoorfreedom · 56-60, M
I'm sure you're not and sorry if people picked on you.
