True friendship died around 19 for me

I truly understand that... “true” friendship. Maybe so.
I am giving to this person knowing I am being manipulated in some degree, but realizing because I’ve known her a few years, that she really does need my friendship and help. But I’m enjoying this temporary friendship. I am looking forward to seeing better circumstances come her way. It feels better being aware that I’m being used? And that there is some if not plenty of sincerity to go along.

@Mindful no,most people’s lives are about comforting themselves. Even if it happens subconsciously. That’s the statement i will stand by
