I Have Worked In The Hells Of Customer Service

The customer is not always right. And I've learned that people who say the customer is always right are the people who can't handle the tiniest things that don't go their way.

I don't understand people who cause a scene, yelling and threatening employees over nothing important like a simple mistake (they forgot to leave out the burger's pickles and onions or giftcards can't be returned). If they have a problem, how hard is it to just walk away or talk to a manager, send a complaint on the company's website or call the company itself and explain what happened? Because not only are they causing trouble for employees, they're disturbing the other customers as well. And most likely someone is recording this so people all over the world can laugh at this meaningless tantrum.

But what confuses me most are the customers who get so upset over something so simple, they record it with their iphones for "legal purposes" when all that's really recorded is how they're being disrespectful toward everyone around them. They dare the employees to call the cops, dare people to hit them, and claim they'll get a lawyer (or that they'll call the cops), and leave before the cops actually arrive.

Now, I understand that there can be rude, lazy people in customer service. But I still think there are better ways to handle that or else you'll seem to be no better than them. You'll just be that crazy woman or guy in Target, CVS, or wherever, the recorded video forever shared throughout the web.

Seriously. What is wrong with some people?

So true on that. I see that every day. Besides if they are in a store. It's already being record for "legal purposes" Those eyes in the sky. Most of the time the cops will side with the store. Because that person is making a scene. And wants some attention.

Perfectly put! These customers need to learn to calm down and deal with things properly. No need to involve cops and lawyers!

@goagainsttheflow: Well put as well. But some times you need the cops or security.
