I Have Gotten In Trouble At School

I didn't really get into trouble, but I know I should have. Lol.

I was just thinking that I should have failed second grade. My teacher would hand out tests and worksheets for us to work on during class and she'd tell us to bring them to her desk when we were done. One day, she handed us a test and I did not know any of the questions on it so I discreetly put the paper under my desk and hoped that I wouldn't have to turn it in. After a while, she asked if everyone turned in their tests and everyone said "Yes." I didn't say a word because I don't like to lie, but I now realize you can lie by not saying anything too. Then, we went on to our next subject and I was relieved! I started doing this all the time on a regular basis and she hasn't caught on yet...

Until one day, I told her I need some paper and she saw lots of it from under my desk. She said to me to use something I had under here and she pulled out one of the papers, I was getting very nervous. She looked at the paper and she said I was supposed to turn this in! Then, she started pulling out all the papers I stashed under my desk and she was getting very angry with me. She took all the crumbled papers and stapled them together and told me to turn this in first thing tomorrow morning. I remember coming home after school, with all those crumbled papers in my hand with a sad look on my face. My mother looked at me and took the papers out of my hand and threw them all away! She never said a word to me and she must have thought that was garbage!

I was happy for a little while until on my way to school the next day. My teacher must have forgotten all about yesterday because she never asked for all the tests and worksheets. How did I get so lucky? I passed the second grade with some extremely poor grades all over my report card. In third grade, I have received honors and my teacher had lots of good things to say about me to my mom. I remember when I received the award for honors, everyone was there and my second grade teacher told my mom that she wanted me back. I thought for sure she was going to say something about those tests I never took, but she basically just said she liked having me in class.
