My 203-type (00-07) C class estate has been largely trouble-free too. Broke a spring once though, possibly down to the stae of the roads these days. Every time it went over a bump I could hear it go BOING! like that character in the Magic Roundabout.

Back in the daze when a Merc was German and built properly without 6,243 electronic sensors. Anyone that buys a Mercedes today is a moron.
