I have no relatives who fought or died in the Great War, so on Remembrance Day I always spare a thought for the forgotten, those who died anonymously, those whose lives were cut short so they never knew what was like having a wife or children or grandchildren to remember them... Those who died in the mud in the heat of battle without anyone really noticing....
