I Am Remembering Someone Today

I have no relatives who fought or died in the Great War, so on Remembrance Day I always spare a thought for the forgotten, those who died anonymously, those whose lives were cut short so they never knew what was like having a wife or children or grandchildren to remember them... Those who died in the mud in the heat of battle without anyone really noticing....

Warlencourt Cemetery the Somme in France great uncle KIA 1917 AGE 23 I was the fist family member to find and visit his grave , 8 weeks ago was a long trip from Australia
