I Sneeze
I sneeze a fair bit, changes in temperature, dusty rooms, Sun light, etc they all cause me to sneeze. Sometimes I have sneezesures where I am triggered by something like cat hair and I will continually sneeze on end. One thing I can't stand is people saying 'bless you' every time I sneeze. I am sneezing in order to get rid of an irritation. I don't have a choice when this happens.
This event is not a devine intervention or some religious enlightenment where I need people to 'bless me'. I am not doing this on purpose, it is my body's natural reaction to sneeze in order to get rid of irritants.
This event is not a soap opera or drama. I don't need you to exclaim phrases like 'oh dear' or 'thats 5 in a row now' or 'oh wow you're still going'. I don't need you to look at me as if you have never seen a human sneeze in your life with your bulging eyes.
A cough is almost the same thing. The body naturally coughs to get rid of an irritation in the throat. Yet no one wants to bless them! No one turns that into a religious intervention.
So next time you hear someone sneeze on end, don't count or bless them or make the event into a soap opera, just be quiet and let the person move on with their lives.
