I Think It Is Wrong That So Many of Our Veterans Are Homeless

VA doesn't help so my dad sleeps in stores.

I agree and I feel before we take on all these immigrants, we should take care of our own . That includes homeless veterans and families , especially children .

Seems they only care about strangers from other countries than ones that served for the country that they live in.

@IstillmissEP: VA hospital is like 50 miles from us, we hardly ever went cause it was quite far & my mom wants to avoid freeways. And yes, they do. We've realized that last year along with trying to find natural cures. The health system profits off the sick, HMOs pay their doctors to not run tests so that an eventual severe illness(es) renders them helpless & probably abandoned, which leads to homelessness. We're going to get into growing our own healthy, natural food & making more affordable, safe, quiet housing methods (tiny home, RV etc) next.

There are homes for older people with a steady government check. It sounds better than a store.
Medi-cal wouldn't keep him in one for long. He usually can't sleep in the car cause of his pains. When he's sleep deprived, he'll sleep anywhere. Theres no laws against sleeping during daytime that I know of.
Sorry to hear that.

What if family & friends don't want you? They rather make your life hell, be passive aggressive than say get out of here.

@LvChris: Well said. I see Chinese & Indian families, multiple generations, take care of each other in 1 tiny home. I'm trying to enact more tiny homes, RVs, vans, sheds, some safe, quiet, affordable shelter, maybe through homeshare. Rent is too damn high, its thanks to greed & abuse of power.
