I Think It Is Wrong That So Many of Our Veterans Are Homeless

3 Members of Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club have been secretly running the Department of Veterans Affairs

THE SHADOW RULERS OF THE VA

Last February, shortly after Peter O'Rourke became chief of staff for the Department of Veterans Affairs, he received an email from Bruce Moskowitz with his input on a new mental health initiative for the VA.

"Received," O'Rourke replied.
"I will begin a project plan and develop a timeline for action."

O'Rourke treated the email as an order, but Moskowitz is not his boss.
In fact, he's not even a government official.
Moskowitz is a Palm Beach doctor who helps wealthy people obtain high-service "concierge" medical care.

More to the point, he is one-third of an informal council that is exerting sweeping influence on the VA from Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach, Florida.

The troika is led by Ike Perlmutter, the reclusive chairman of Marvel Entertainment, who is a longtime acquaintance of President Trump's.
The third member is a lawyer named Marc Sherman.
None of them has ever served in the U.S. military or government.

Yet from a thousand miles away, they have leaned on VA officials and steered policies affecting millions of Americans.
They have remained hidden except to a few VA insiders, who have come to call them "the Mar-a-Lago Crowd."

Note:
I, too, "think it's wrong that so many of our veterans are homeless."
The Department of Veterans Affairs is the governmental agency that should be doing something about homeless vets.
But with Trump's billionaire friends like Ike Perlmutter secretly running the VA, without any transparency, accountability or oversight, you can bet that NOTHING will be done by the VA to help homeless veterans.
THAT is why I've posted this Pro Publica article here.
If you care about the hundreds of thousands of homeless vets out there, the least you can do is to read this article in it's entirety.
Trump never served in the military, and he couldn't care less about homeless vets.
The same is true for his three wealthy friends, the "troika" who secretly run the VA.
All they care about is cutting services for veterans in order to save money and advance their own secret plans for the Veterans Administration.

I do as well it’s heartbreaking to me to see anyone homeless .

I've noticed the more a government trumpets about their love for veterans and the military, the more they actively screw over veterans.
I totally agree. Where I volunteer I occasionally encounter homeless veterans. This is why people who applaud Trump for jumping on the bandwagon about the NFL protests are missing the forest for the trees. Standing for the flag means less than supporting the people who served.
