I Am Frustrated With Society

Can anyone recommend literally any social site on the internet where stories/posts/etc have even close to the kind of length and/or depth that used to exist in the earlier days of EP? Or has this modern texting-mentality killed all of them?

I see some pretty thoughtful and complete posts on Reddit. And there you can drill down in to whatever specific area of interest you might have.
