I Tired Of Being Scared

So so ever since I did the polling at a recent election, I have been scared of walking home at night.
Apparently someone had threatened to shoot up the school where the polling took place that I was working at. Nothing happened and there were police around but I don't know what it is, I'm just scared and paranoid of walking home at night. Tonight I saw someone and was scared...nothing happened, no contact but I was still afraid. I feel like a mental c**t...
And the strange thing is that i was never scared of walking home and it's not like I have to walk far either.
