I Don't Know What to Say Anymore, Or What to Do

My friend told me last night that he got mugged on his way to his apartment. He wants me to give him the answers but I don't know what to say. He doesn't have the money to see a therapist. I'm scared he'll do something to hurt himself since he was once in that place years ago when he tried to. This was a traumatic thing that happened and I've never gone through that before so I don't know what to say. What should I do?
