This is Teclis, the model my boss got me for Christmas

He's a huge model, and a literal god in Age of Sigmar: the god of light and magic. He's the leader of the Lumineth Realm-lord faction of elves I play. Next purchase will be Direchasm to get Myari's Purifiers, or a second box of cavalry for my 1000pts list. I also bought Alarith Stoneguard for an upcoming 600pt tournament at the store in January/February. Luckily painting them should be easier than the archers I posted last time since they're mostly armour lol.

I really have to work out how many points of Lumineth I have now.

Ooh, I bet that'll be fun to paint!

@FaeLuna It looks like it will be! It's just going to take a while to finish.

@SW-User I like their big models, the ones that look like they could be set pieces by themselves. I just wish they weren't so expensive!
SW-User
@FaeLuna Same! The Triumph of St Katherine looks amazing, as do Teclis and Katakros. The pictures of Teclis on their website make him looks worse than he does in real life. Just hope I can do him justice with the paint job. And yeah, the price is a bit of an issue; I get half price when I'm working there, and they're still stupidly expensive.

@SW-User The Triumph of Saint Katherine model is one of those things I keep staring at longingly, even though I don't have the rest of the army it goes with.

Ooh, if I had a 50% discount, I'd be drowing in in unfinished models. The local store near me always has a 20% off sale, and I'm frankly grateful for it!
SW-User
@FaeLuna The way I look at is that they're just cool models that you want to paint, right? So as long as you're getting enjoyment out of the painting, then it shouldn't matter what army they're from. And if that makes you want to paint a few more of that army's models, then so be it :)
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User That is a good way of looking at it! Especially since I use painting models as a way to relax, and it's not good to run out of things to relax with!
SW-User
@FaeLuna Exactly. All the more reason to just get the models you want to paint; unless you're building a specific army, it doesn't really matter.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User Dangerous words, but I'll try not to go too crazy on spending!
SW-User
@FaeLuna As long as you just go slowly and get one kit at a time, you should be OK. Hopefully.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User I mean, that's what I'm doing now, just trying to build a small army to play against friends, so I should be fine. I'm definitely not going for massive army amounts of models.
SW-User
@FaeLuna That's fair. Massive armies are unwieldy to play with, transport, and store. What army are you doing?
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User Yeah, games take long enough with small point values, and I'm running out of boxes and foam to store them in. Right now, I have about 850-ish points worth of Dark Eldar/Drukhari. Mostly got them because the jet fighter was cool, and the vehicles all remind me of Star Wars speeders. They are fun to play, though!
SW-User
@FaeLuna Drukhari seem like they'd be fun, but they've always been so fragile that it takes a lot of skill/practice to do well. And their boats are stupidly hard to transport.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User A better transport solution is definitely needed. Lots of tiny, fragile spikes and things that could easily snap off. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm waiting for that day.
SW-User
@FaeLuna I don't envy you, that's for sure. And the Tantalus looks even more frail.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SW-User Yeah, that's a model and problem for another day!
SW-User
@FaeLuna Haha good choice. Forgeworld is a lot of work at the best of times :P
