I Am Too Old to Be Young But Too Young to Be Old

Ready To Settle Down...... At this age, 19, a college student should reflect on their attributions to society and how to maintain a proper balance between adulthood and education. We are to live wildly, party like it's 1999, drink until our livers are screeching with aching pain, but not me. I did my 18 months of that life and soon realized it was not everything, in fact anything.

I am a dreamer. I balance my adulthood on the pennicles of happiness. I dream of finishing school with my degrees in Education and Communication, becoming a well respected teacher and an amazing wife and mother. Although many disagree with my mindset now, I in fact think it is perfectly fine. I wish people would understand that not every student is the same and acquire the same college experience to say they enjoyed it! What I'm enjoying and seeking is to move forward and be happy.

Many are confused with my idea of settling down at this age. When I say settle down I mean meeting a potential spouse now that will last me my entire college career and perhaps even after. The beauty is not only in meeting new people but discovering the beauty within their imperfections. I want to explore him in ways where we cannot operate without each other. I would not mind marrying within the next 7 years, however, children will probably still be out of the question until 11 years.

Dating many guys or girls at the same time is not entertaining to me. It's quite complicated and gets boring pretty soon. What's the point honestly? The best part is falling in love and soaring with the emotions.

19. Look life is a marathon not a sprint. Good things will come to you, don't rush it or stress about it. Take things as they come.
