Blocking = closing your eyes, and closing eyes will rarely ever help. The racists and fascists won't go away when you do not see them anymore.

@helenS Maybe not, but I can't change their minds. It's futile and just makes me angry. Plus I've reported this person so many times for racist language, so...

@helenS That is my general philosophy, but I make exceptions....

@helenS I wish we could get through to them but they are a lost cause. Sometimes, for our own mental health, we need to block certain people out. The chronic negativity can trigger an overall feeling of dismay and depression in some people.

@helenS So true. And if you have a conflict with someone sometimes it's better to keep eyes on them.

@SW-User I agree. This person does make me despair sometimes that people like them exist.

@SW-User I know. I feel the same way. During the winter months it was especially difficult for me. The negativity really affects me and puts me in a foul mood.

@SW-User Yes you are right. If they bring you down you should block them. SW should be a source of fun first and foremost.
