Does it get any easier?

My husband is away on his second deployment and I keep finding myself sittin with our little boy in my rocking chair on the porch thinking about him. I get letters from him, but I miss him so much. Does it ever get easier?

You will miss him everyday. Try to take advantage of the resiliency programs in place for spouses of deployed military members. Contact the office of the unit your husband works with. Check with MWR to see which fun activities you can participate in. Take time for yourself.

Maybe, with the present drawdown...he'll be coming home soon. 🤔☺🤗🇺🇲💞🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲

@Montanaman oh I hope so. I want him to meet his new son!

@SW-User God bless you and your family 👪🙏❤Being a military wife and mother is a full time job, and your loyalty and sacrifice is just as much admired as your husband's. 🥰🤗🤗🙏

@Montanaman thank you for saying that, sir! It feels nice when people aren't pointlessly mean.

Having been in the military for 20 years and based on conversations with my wife, it doesn't really get easier. Every day will have you thinking the worst. That's pretty normal so don't get down on yourself and get depressed. I will tell ypu that based on my own experiences, your husband misses you every bit as much as you miss him.

I've been deployed twice and I don't think it gets easier just be patient it will be worth it
When you write to your husband, please let him know that there are many people back home that appreciate his service.

Try to find things to keep you busy as well.

Not really. It is a hard life.

Military wives have a hard time, that’s for sure.

@yeronlyman yeah sure...no one (except for few people) would suspect that.

@yeronlyman you don't need to be smart, sir.
