I Have Tinnitus

It's such a curse having T.. especially in one ear. My head feels so unbalanced. Trying to get through this.
There are hearing aids made just for Tinitus that generate white noise like sounds that will mask the ringing.

@CruiserCruiserCruiser didn't know they had hearing aids that generate white noise, thanks will look into that

I've had it since I was in my teens - playing in rock bands and such...I have it in both though....not sure what to do there...but I sort of ignore it....
EpicStace · 31-35, F
@fun4us2b I don't think there's much we can do about it since ENT doctors don't fully understand it themselves.ive stopped going to doctors as none of them can help. We just gotta cops with it :(

@EpicStace If I plug them up, it seems to get quieter. But I haven't tried this on a regular basis...since I'm sort of adjusted to it...but the quiet is nice...

@fun4us2b becareful tho, I heard over protecting the ears can make it more sensitive. Only plug in very loud places.
I do plumbing and when there is no sound around me all i can hear is a hissing sound like a leaking water pipe. So i spend time checking over just to make sure. Real pain

@SW-User I'm hearing impaired. It's not going anywhere, had it for 5 year's. The only thing doctors tell me is that they don't have any cure right now and that research is low. I've been to several (doctors)

I get it now and again, it’s worse if I eat sugar, have you tried looking at cutting things out your diet?

Does it go away? Or is it forever?
EpicStace · 31-35, F
@ScarletWitch my T is for life. I've had it non-stop for 5 year's.
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
@EpicStace how did u get it?
EpicStace · 31-35, F
@ScarletWitch My hearing was already bad, but believe it was a phone incident that caused it,the volume being too loud.

Music is the way I cope. Always have it on
EpicStace · 31-35, F
@SW-User I would have done music too but sadly along with T I also have hyperacusis(ear sensitivity) so I can only listen to white noise that isn't too loud.
SW-User
@EpicStace oh nooooo
