I Am a ___. Ask me Anything.

I Am A Sophomore In College. Ask Me Anything....
I don't know what anyone would want to ask me, but if you have any questions, ask me! :)
I'm a sophomore in college, majoring in the sciences, and possibly minoring in art history. Just transferred out of engineering, because I ended up really hating it, so next semester will be my first semester out of the engineering school. Anything anyone wants to know, ask! :)

-------------------

EDIT:

Since I last wrote this, a lot has changed! I'm now a junior in college, majoring in English now (pretty sure this one is going to stick!). Anyone have any questions about that (or about any of the above!), feel free to ask! :)

@jasona8l: I used to be in chemical engineering, didn't really like what I was doing and learning about, so switched to biochem. Taking orgo right now, and we do experiments ever other week such as distillations, recrystallizations, and synthesis. Our last one was using NMR to find out which product of an Diels-Alder reaction we obtained. Taking biology next semester, so haven't done any bio experiments yet.

@anto3232: I just did not enjoy the things I was learning, and thought that if this is all there is, I definitely didn't want to be doing these things for the rest of my life, I like research and lab activity, and there wasn't all that much of it besides the base chem courses. I don't think our school has agricultural engineering...

@lodewyk: A sophomore is the term used to describe a second year student, either in high school or college. A freshman is a first year student. It can actually be applied to many things, like a sports pla<x>yer's sophomore year is his second year in a league, a band's sophomore album is it's second album, or sophomore slump is a depression after having a good freshman attempt.

No, I do like science, I find chem interesting, just the engineering part of it I didn't, it was much different than I expected. My mindset going into college was, well, I like chemistry, and I think I want to be a engineer, I'll try chemical engineering. Completely different than I thought it would be. But I still like chem! :)

Lol im a sophmore right now, trying to major engineering, why did you not like it? Do your school have any Agricultural engineering, thats really what i want to do but idk much about it.
anto3232
Oh... I see you were in Chem engineering.. yea that would suck haha...
Mabye try a different side of chemistry? One thats not so scientific or you like science? just not the engineering part?
jasona8l
what did you do in school? You major in science,do you have many experiments to do?
It’s my first year for a postgraduate degree of molecular microbacteria.

Sophmore is obviously an American term - I hear it in movies a lot. What does it mean to be a sophmore?

Is it like being a first year student?

It's tired to study in university, especially majoring in a uninterested aspect. But there is always something exciting in campus, isn't it?

Yeah, it's really fun! Can't believe it's almost halfway over though :(
lodewyk
Thank you :)
